Meet the team
We are very proud to have opened Cabri Centre in 2007 and provide this service to the people of Cabri and surrounding area. We opened our second location in Abbey only 20 minutes down the highway in January 2024.
The importance of having a place where our children can go to be safe, learn, grow, and feel a sense of belonging is profound and should not be taken for granted. The Board of Directors will continue to work tirelessly to ensure these qualities in our early learning centre. We are committed to keeping this high standard of care for our children now and into the future. Our philosophy focuses around the Play Based model, allowing children to learn through play and exploration. Let’s watch our children flourish with knowledge, understanding and growth in all areas of their lives, under the care of our dedicated staff.
Sincerely,
Board Of Directors of the Ever Green Early Learning Centre Inc.
Meet the Teachers
“…my two children have truly thrived.”
Ever Green Early Learning Centre is an incredible asset to our community, providing a safe, nurturing environment where my two children have truly thrived. Since enrolling them at the Cabri Centre, they’ve grown socially and developmentally, thanks to the dedicated staff and engaging programs. Both centres are essential for local families, offering quality childcare that allows parents to work while knowing their children are in great hands.

Sydney joined the EGELC Board as Chair in January 2024, shortly after she and her family moved back to Cabri after living away for 15 years. A big aspect of making the move home possible was the availability of quality childcare for her two young children. She is happy to support the EGELC team in keeping the facilities thriving for the benefit of families in our communities for years to come. She loves to see many of the people she grew up with from Cabri and surrounding communities now choosing to raise their own families in small town Saskatchewan.

I moved to Cabri in 2024 and I am excited to be part of this growing community. I am currently a Manager at Stark and Marsh CPA LLP, and I obtained my CPA designation in 2024. I have years of Not-for-Profit audit experience, and I look forward to providing support to the board and assisting in understanding the organization’s financial position. Outside of work I enjoy planting a garden in the summer months, spending time with friends, and traveling to new places. In the sun is my favourite place to be!
am eager to give back to the Cabri by volunteering, and I look forward to continuing my involvement and helping to support a community that has been so welcoming to me.

Kayla lives outside of Lancer with her husband and 2 daughters and expecting a 3rd child in early 2025. She was born and raised on a farm outside of Eston. After high school she moved to Saskatoon where she took her LPN and worked for 10 years there. She’s lived in the community for the past 5 years and she’s so excited to be part of a small town community again! She joined the Ever Green Early Learning Center Board in January of 2024 and is excited to be a part of it. As a mom with 2 young children she knows how important it is to have child care accessible for our communities and is excited to see Ever Green Learning Center grow.

I moved to Cabri in 2018 after meeting my now husband, who has deep roots in the community. Together we are raising our family here. We have one young son, with another baby on the way, and I love how many families in Cabri have chosen to build their lives and raise their children here.
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and work in the early years alongside families, educators, and communities to support how young children learn, communicate, and connect through play and relationships. Through my work, I have the opportunity to learn from early learning spaces across the province and bring a broad, child-centred perspective into community conversations. I care deeply about play-based, inclusive environments that reflect best practice and support children and families in meaningful, everyday ways.
I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Evergreen Early Learning Centre board. I truly value the diversity of the ECE team at EGELC and the range of strengths, experiences, and perspectives they bring to their work with children and families. I look forward to supporting the centre’s ongoing commitment to best practice in early learning and child development.
